Bubbles
Little Bubbles round and fair,
Floating slowly through the air
(blow bubbles)
The wind blows strong
(fan the children)
And you fly on,
But soon you pop and you are gone.
(encourage the children to pop the bubbles)

My many coloured days
By Dr Seuss Some days are yellow, some are blue, on different days, I’m different too! (The Circle: Three fingers tracing circle around back) You’d be surprised how many ways I change on different coloured days. (The Walk: Flat palms walking up back) On bright red days how good it feels to be a horse and kick my heels. (The Drum: gentle drumming with fists) On other days I’m other things, on bright blue days I flap my wings. (The Fan: Start at base of back and fan up and out towards shoulders) Some days of course feel sort of brown, then I feel slow and low, low down. (The Calm – Static pressure on head) Then comes a yellow day and Weeeeeeeeeeeeee, I’m a busy, buzzy bee. (The Wave: Use two fingers to draw small fast waves randomly) Grey day, everything is grey, I watch but nothing moves today. (The Calm – Static, firm pressure on shoulders) Then all of a sudden I’m a circus seal, on my orange days that’s how I feel. (The Sprinkle: Pitterpatter movement with fingers) Green days deep, deep in the sea, cool and quiet fish that’s me (The Wave: Use three fingers to draw wave downwards) On purple days I’m sad, I groan, I drag my tail, I walk alone (The Walk: Flat palms walking up back) But when my days are happy pink, it’s great to jump and just not think (The Bounce: Fast-paced, gentle pinching movement) Then come my black days, mad and loud, I howl, I growl at every cloud. (The Claw: Drag clawed hands down back) Then comes a mixed up day and wham! I don’t know who or what I am (The Drum: Gentle drumming with fists) But it all turns out alright you see, And I go back to being me! (The Circle: Three fingers tracing circle around back) |
